A not to be missed update from the leadership of the UK Employee Engagement task force – “Engage For Success”.
Participants will get an up to the minute perspective from the top of UK industry and discuss how to help raise the profile of this topic across our different businesses, sectors and organisations.
For the past year an independent task force launched at No 10 Downing Street by the Prime Minister, has been looking at how to build on Engaging for Success – the report to Government by David MacLeod (chair of the MacLeod review) and Nita Clarke (Director of the Involvement and Participation Association).
We have asked David and Nita, along with task force members Louise Beardmore (Head of Engagement at United Utilities) and Russell Grossman (Director of Communications at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and IABC International Director) to provide us with an insight to progress and the emerging conclusions. The task force is due to report publicly in September but our special briefing will give you a heads up and indication of what may be coming.
Our speakers may also wish to use the opportunity test some of the conclusions with IABC.
The task force enjoys broad support from across the UK and has begun to build a movement of thought leaders, practitioners and influencers who know that engagement is to the benefit of the employee, the organisation and the country. The membership involves 40 of the “who’s who” in HR and communication in the UK from our biggest companies, government departments, business schools and professional associations.
The focus for our morning discussion will be:
- Background to the work; the drivers and the importance of engagement - David MacLeod and Nita Clarke
- Initial findings from the task force and emerging conclusions – Louise Beardmore
- How we can address raising the profile of this topic and the implications for communicators – Russell Grossman
Don’t miss this chance to be at the leading edge of employee engagement in the UK.
